#IceFestival - Liverpool
Liverpool, UK /
December 2012
Freedomes event dome structures hosted the opening of the first ever urban ice experience in the UK - #IceFestival in Liverpool. Incorporating four ice-themed activities, it's the UK's biggest ever group of real ice attractions in one place to enjoy with Christmas shopping at Liverpool One shopping centre.
Contrary to what many people believe, the biggest attraction of this season is not Christmas shopping but the Ice Festival in Liverpool. Of course Freedomes could not miss it.
From the 7th of November to January 13 you can enjoy ice-themed activities in the heart of Liverpool. Four different activities hosted in Freedome event domes are the centre of attraction for the whole family.
Take a slide down UK’s biggest ever ice slide: 30 m long and 6 m high and if you feel like more the #IceFestival offers a glamorous 600 sq m ice rink.
Once you get cold, get a drink to warm you up in Liverpool ONE pop up Ice Bar, where the furniture is made entirely of crystal clear sculpture ice, all in the Freedome 75.
The ice bar is connected with two other Freedome structures, giving you a Alpine Café Bar and a 110 sq m igloo shaped lounge.
As the Liverpool Ice Festival offers attractions to the big and small, the youngest can visit Santa in his grotto in the smallest dome and whilst waiting they can explore the magical forest of ice sculptures. Over 25 tons of crystal clear carving ice have been used to create the #iceFestival wonderland.
