P2BK Village
Kuwait City, Kuwait /
March 2013
The sixth edition of the popular event 'Proud to Be Kuwaiti' (P2BK) was launched in March 2013 at Kuwait International Fair Ground in Mishref. This year a whole village was built from scratch over an area of 20,000 m2. Freedomes, along with its event domes, was a proud participant in this year's edition.
With 400,000 visitors in two weeks, the P2BK village is the biggest event in Kuwait history. Once the visitors set foot inside the village, they could count on quite a unique experience in a perfectly set rich traditional environment that will took them back in some way to Kuwait’s old days. The Village had it all, shops, restaurant, cafes, shows, performances and entertainment for all ages.
The event domes provided by Freedomes became a part of two unique settings - four Freedome 75's were set around beautiful sand sculptures that took weeks to complete and offered a tour through Kuwaiti heritage. With the use of lighting and with the help of actors, the sand sculptures came to life in the evenings, something which was worth the trip on its own.
The Freedome 700 interconnected with two smaller Freedome 75's was on the other hand a venue for some more modern experiences and featured different attractions throughout the duration of the event.
The whole project was a truly breathtaking experience and we have to admit, we are proud to call ourselves a part of the whole P2BK experience and we hope that this was not the last time we set our feet in Kuwait.
