Das Stue is a stylish boutique hotel situated in diplomatic district of the German capital. Housed in former Royal Danish embassy this unique 79-room hotel combines traditional architecture from the beginning of the XX century with modern design introduced by Potsdam-based Axthelm Architects.
This award winning hotel nestled in the lush Tiergarten park is a favorite Berlin accommodation of notables and celebrities that appreciate its wonderful decor and location that is quiet yet close to the city center.
Das Stue choose Freedome 30 geodesic dome featuring transparent front section and custom made tunnel connected directly to the terrace entrance. To match their unique combination of modern and classic design, Das Stue choose interior design that resembles cozy mountain cabin featuring unfinished woods and lush carpets.
Smoking is allowed in the structure and to further improve already very good air circulation in geodesic dome, we have added additional air extraction fans mounted to the custom made membrane.
Structure for Das Stue is one of many examples how hotels can use geodesic domes to arrange unique spaces either for relaxation or entertainment.
